Joy Dish Detergent For Pennys On The Dollar...You Don't Need ANY Coupons For This Deal!

So when it comes to dish detergent, I'm not really all that picky. Whatever gets my dishes cleaned is all that I need!

ShopRite is having a sale which prices select Joy dish detergents around .99cents, sounds like a deal, right? WRONG! I NEVER spend .99cents on a dish soap!

ShopRite is also having a catalina deal where if you buy SELECT P&G products, and Joy happens to be included, you get a Catalina! If you buy 2 you get a 1$ CAT and if you buy 4 or more you get get a 3$ CAT!

If you buy 4 Joy dish soaps at .99cents (or around that price, I haven't checked our ShopRite yet) You pay 3.96$ plus tax. Then you get back a 3$ CAT to be used on your next purchase. The cool thing about this deal is that I think it rolls...so I think you could buy 4 more in another transaction and use the 3$ CAT to pay for most of the total and then get back ANOTHER 3$ CAT.

I have to still confirm this and I plan to do this deal this morning and then go back after work to see if it rolls. I'll keep everyone updated!

ShopRite Family...Earning Free Shopping Money!

Hello coupon lovelies! I wanted to share with you all something that makes shopping at ShopRite even more brilliant. We know how much I LOVE ShopRite, right? I can’t get enough of it! Well ShopRite has this little thing called ShopRite Family Rewards.

Essentially, in a nutshell, it works like this:

When you buy participating brands, for example Kimberly Clarke and General Mills, your total BEFORE manufacturer coupons convert into points that are tracked using your Price Plus card. Let’s say I buy 30$ worth of General Mills cereal. There is NO WAY in heck I am going to buy 30$ worth of cereal and not use coupons to bring that total WAY down. So say I used 20$ worth of coupons and got that 30$ total down to 10$. ShopRite Family Rewards would track that purchase and make my total number of points 30 points, not 10. Get it? They are using the BEFORE manufacturer coupon price.

Now let’s say I have that 30$ total and use 20$ in manufacturer coupons and 5$ in ShopRite coupons. It is NOT going to count the ShopRite coupons because obviously it’s their store and their reward program. So now the program is going to track you as having 25 points.

So what can you get with these points? I’ll tell ya! You can get coupons that are dollar amounts off of your next purchase. For 100 points, which essentially equals 100$ spent at ShopRite BEFORE manufacturer coupons (so usually it’s not REALLY 100$ that I spent, more like 20$ or 30$) you can get a 2$ off coupon. For 200 points you can get 4$ off and so on and so on.

Once you’ve reached a certain amount of points all you do is go to the webpage (which I’ve linked below) and sign in. You click on “redeem points” and that coupon has now been loaded onto your Price Plus card. Easy, peasy, lemon-squeezey!

I like to remind people that I’m not shopping at ShopRite just to gain these points. This is an added bonus you get for being loyal to the store. Since my total before manufacturer coupons is usually around 70$ and I get it down to around 15$, I’m getting an even sweeter deal with these points!

Let's Have A Party...A COUPON Party!

I wanted to create this post to all you aspiring couponers out there who may be a little skeptical or confused on just how I save money grocery shopping. I want to keep the understanding out there that I DO NOT buy stuff that we DON’T need just because it’s .45cents a box or 1.50$ a bottle. I buy things that I know our household will need and use. Once you are taught the logistics of how I do what I do, you can begin tailoring your shopping trips to just what it is YOUR family needs.
With that being said, I want to remind everyone that I do host couponing parties! As opposed to a “coupon class” (which sounds ridged and connotes images of me as a strict teacher thrusting coupons down your throat) I like to think of these little two hour sessions more as parties. I mean who doesn’t like getting together with a group of girlfriends and guy friends, eating cute little snacks, having some refreshing drinks and socializing while you learn how to cut your grocery bill in HALF? I’m sure many of you have been to parties where you were encouraged to BUY things right? Why not book a party where you learn how to SAVE on things you need so you can attend those other parties to buy the things you WANT!
Why not book a coupon party with Caite TODAY?!

ShopRite Haul...I Was Actually Paid To Get All This!

Okay couponers! So tonight was the first night that I let Jaylen have a sleepover with my mom…I miss him so much! I decided to use my “night off” to go couponing at ShopRite since I’ve been procrastinating ALL week. Of course I decided to wait until the last minute to catch this week’s sales.

So I explained the whole “Dollar Day” thing to you guys in my previous post. I wasn’t really too excited for anything EXCEPT the Kleenex disposable hand towels and the Knorr pasta and rice sides. I literally just “LOL’ed” typing that because does being excited about hand towels and pasta sides make me a grandma?!

Here’s what I got!

My total (AFTER all the sale prices were deducted was 35.63$ and after all the coupons were deducted I paid 4.63$. You may be asking yourself how does that make it all free? What I got back was 8$ in Catalina coupons. Remember that these coupons are good for ANYTHING in the whole store. I also got back 2 coupons to receive 2 FREE reusable ShopRite bags that I’m very excited for!

Did you get any good deals this week? Did you go to ShopRite!? Comment below and TELL ME ABOUT IT!

Home Decor Shopping On A Budget.

With income tax season fully in swing, I'm taking the time to really get our house the way I've always wanted it. I love decorating and I never got the chance to do so with this apartment because of, well, LIFE!

We moved into our old apartment and of course everything we had was things that others had kindly given us and then we moved into our current apartment and life got crazy with a screaming 3 month old who is now a toddling 13 month old!

I can FINALLY decorate and organize to my hearts desire and with being five months pregnant now, I want to get this all done before new little baby arrives. (And because I know that my OCD nesting phase will shortly be arriving as well.)

So I just wanted to make a quick post on something that I really LOVE doing. I love thrift store shopping! I know what some of you are thinking...ew, gross. TOTALLY NOT GROSS. Let me tell you something about a little place called Goodwill...

Goodwill is great because they ALWAYS have things from Target and sometimes even Wal-Mart. The home decor from Target is usually always brand new and in boxes. I'm talking everything from coffee tables (which is where we got ours, 200$ in the store and I got ours for 30$ at Goodwill BRAND NEW in the box), dinnerware, linens, decorative pillows, TONS of lamps and shades, and odds and ends that will complete any and every home.

I just got Jaylen a canvas toy chest from there and I paid 14$. I went snooping around Target today and saw the SAME one for 35$! When I got is from Goodwill it was brand new and in the original packaging.

If you go on Sundays they usually have about 4 colored tickets that are marked at 50% off.

If you go to the Salvation Army (which is COMPLETELY different) Wednesdays are your 50% off day. Usually everything but 1 colored ticket is half off.

I like to hit up these places about once every week when I'm re-doing the house. You have a dig a little bit but usually you can find some great stuff!
